Choose yourself first : Self care

Most of us think that giving ourselves basic attention like having timely meals and getting sufficient sleep is considered self care, but no it is not. Self care is beyond that. It is simple things you do that brings a positive change to your life, especially during stressful times. 

Here are a few things that you can do to improve your everyday life and most definitely self care methods; 


1. Make your bed in the morning. This really is as simple as it gets and it barely take 5 minutes to do this in the morning. Something as easy as this will make you feel like you have your life together. 



2. WATER! Don't forget to keep yourself hydrated. At least 2 litres of water daily or more. Trust me, this would do wonders for your skin as well. 


3. Write 10 things that you love about yourself. You will be amused with how incredible you are. And hopefully this would be an encouragement to become a better version of yourself down the road. 




4. Light up a candle and meditate. Perfect way to unwind after a stressful week. Just focus on something that makes you happy and enjoy the aromatherapy. 



5. Learn something new. Always wanted to learn a language? Do it! Want to try baking your favourite nana's banana cake? Do it. Stop putting things on hold. 


6. Do something nice for others. Doesn't have to be something out of your way. Just simple random acts of kindness. Something that would put a smile on someone's face. 
7. Clean your social media! This is so important as most of us spend hours on social media daily. Social media influences our moods so remove anything or anyone that disrupts your peace and positivity.


8. Talk to your loved ones. Catch up with them and see how they are doing.

9. Nothing better than binge watching Netflix series. Whatever genre you prefer. 

10. Do absolutely nothing. You deserve days to just waking up at 11am and lazing in bed, if that makes you feel relaxed.
